We are Tim Brennan and Dave Mouilleseaux, a.k.a. Brennan & Mouilleseaux Antiques, in the hills of Northwestern Connecticut.
Tim started as a collector-dealer in Americana, painted furniture and folk art in 1980. Then formal Federal furniture entered the mix in the mid 1980s. By 1990, when Dave joined him, the focus was broadened to include antique garden furniture and ornaments, as well as Continental antiques and vintage decorative furniture and objects. Then, around 2000, Mid-century Modernism became a strong new interest. Hence, our emphasis on eclectic antiques, from all periods, and of many different styles.
Our particular strength is that we are also self-taught restorers as well as dealers. We have learned how things were constructed in each of the periods we concentrate on. What this means in the real world is that we know the condition of everything we sell from the inside out, and we have the experience to back that up.
The simple benefit to you is that we accurately describe - and guarantee as represented - everything we sell, whether you find it here on the internet, at a show or at our space at the Antique and Artisan Center in Stamford, Connecticut.
It's all in the mix.
